Friends Arena is Sweden’s national arena and one of the world’s most modern multipurpose arenas. With a clear view from all seats, the proximity to the arena floor and the latest communication technology, audiences experience great moments. The arena can host events on all surfaces, from natural grass and gravel to ice and parquet flooring, with quick changes between them. The roof, which can be opened and closed, enables the arena to host concerts, sporting events and shows all year round, regardless of the weather.
The maximum capacity is 75,000 spectators but the arena is suitable for events of all sizes. Despite its young age, Friends Arena has already been visited by greats like Beyoncé, Coldplay,
Guns N ’Roses, Eminem, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Bruce Springsteen, AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Swedish House Mafia.
Friends Arena is home to AIK Football Club and the Swedish national football team. The arena also meets UEFA’s and FIFA’s international football requirements and has hosted two major international UEFA events: the UEFA Europa League final 2017 between Ajax and Manchester United and UEFA Women’s European Championships which was played to a record audience in 2013.
