Light Bureau Nordic Lighting design awards 2018

ÅF Lighting is nominated for the Nordic Lighting Design Awards

ÅF Lighting is nominated with 2 projects for the prestigious Nordic Lighting Design Awards 2018

We are very proud to have 2 projects among the 10 finalists for the Nordic Lighting Design Awards. Since the year 2000 the award has been handed out biennially to the best lighting design projects in the Nordic within the built environment. The ten nominated projects are all winners of the local lighting design awards (in 2016 and 2017) from each of the five Nordic countries. Thus, our projects, “Rånåsfoss Power Station” which won the Norwegian Lighting Award, best indoor lighting design category, in 2017, and “King K36 office”, the winner of the Swedish Lighting Award 2016, are among the nominated projects.

We are also delighted to see our colleagues at Gottlieb Paludan Architects among the finalists with their project, Nørreport Station in Copenhagen, winner of the Danish Lighting Award 2016.

This year, the Nordic Lighting Design Awards is part of Helsinki Design Week, the largest design festival in the Nordic countries. The design teams behind each project will present their projects in front of an audience and the jury during a glamourous event in Helsinki on September 12th. After deliberation by the judges the winner will be announced during the event.
