ÅF Lighting designer shortlisted for award
Seren Dinçel has been acknowledged for her research on City Lighting in Scandinavia
Lighting designer Seren Dinçel has been shortlisted for the prestigious “SLL Young Lighter of the Year” award for her research on “City Lighting in Scandinavia”. Her thesis, which was recently published as part of her Master’s degree in Architectural Lighting Design, examines how the Scandinavian methodology and design approach within urban lighting differs from that in other parts of the world. Seren’s work scored high in the final evaluation and received outstanding reviews.
“It’s exciting to be among the three finalists! Writing the thesis was a long and challenging journey, but I had great support from my colleagues and many Nordic lighting professionals, who contributed with their knowledge and experience”, says Seren.
The SLL competition provides a unique platform for young lighters to showcase their knowledge, and raise their profile within the industry. At ÅF Lighting, we are extremely proud of Seren’s achievements and regard her as a great asset to our team.
The award ceremony will be held on the 16th of November at the Lux Awards in London. Best of luck, Seren!
