ÅF winner in global innovation competition within mobility
Together with Benify, ÅF is one of three winners in The Swedish Energy Agency’s Sustainable Mobility Challenge.
Sustainable Mobility Challenge is organized by the Swedish Energy Agency and is one of several initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions and helping to bring about a fossil-free transport sector at the latest by 2045.The aim of the competition has been to find sustainable services for everyday travel that are attractive enough to reduce the need to own a private car.
Karolina Pamp-Sandgren, mobility expert at ÅF, is one of the team members behind the winning entry.
“ At ÅF we have been in the forefront of offering sustainable solutions – to our clients but also to ourselves. We have set ambitious goals when it comes to reducing carbon emissions, for instance by setting out a plan to have a completely fossil free fleet of vehicles by 2027, and continuously offering our employees alternative means of transport. This prize enables us to further develop a mobility solutions more fitted to the new generation of employees who want flexible, tailored solutions for their transportation needs.”
The three winners are Iomob Technologies OU from Spain, ÅF together with Benify from Sweden, and Kyyti Group Oy from Finland. Entries were received from 15 different countries. Nyamko Sabuni, Head of Sustainability, and Malin Frenning, Head of Division Infrastructure, joined forces to present ÅF’s case to the jury:
