30 students are now ready for 24h Makers Camp

Nearly 1000 students participated in the competition to win a ticket to ÅF’s new student event 24h Makers Camp. After three challenges and a great deal of competition, 30 students are now ready to take on the big challenge – to bring a city into the future in only 24 hours.

Close to 1000 Scandinavian students applied for ÅF’s new student event 24h Makers Camp, that will be held at ÅF’s headquarters in March 2019. Two months and three challenges later, we are now down to the final 30 students. The students have a varied background within engineering, IT and design and come from ten different Universities in three countries.

-      We have a very exciting challenge ahead of us and I’m very happy that so many students are interested in shaping our future cities. I believe that the students as well as the participating cities and ÅF will acquire lots of new knowledge, ideas and experiences from 24h Makers Camp, says Helena Paulsson, Head of Urban Development and responsible for ÅF’s concept Future Cities.

Egzon Mehmeti is currently studying his final year in Industrial Engineering and Management and is one of the final 30 students that will participate in 24h Makers Camp.

-      Participating in 24h Makers Camp is an excellent way to challenge myself, sharing knowledge and establishing new contacts at ÅF, as well as with the other students, says Egzon.

The event will be sent live on ÅF’s Facebook page, March 28-29.
