"For me the automotive industry was a given goal."
My name is Lars Persson, I am 38 years old and the father of two children. I live in a house in Trollhättan where I was born and raised. I have worked about ten years within the car industry, mostly within powertrain – which is my main interest.
What made you choose the automotive industry?
I have always been very interested in technology in general, and in vehicles in particular, so for me the automotive industry was a given goal. There are so many different roles within automotive industry, which initially made it hard to know what would really fit me.
What are you doing at the moment?
I am currently working with development and verification of hybrid driveline diagnostics.
What is the best part of being a consultant?
That different assignments give you wide experiences that can be reused in future roles.
What is your experience of ÅF so far?
I appreciate the family-like atmosphere within our team and the stable infrastructure of ÅF.
Do you have a fun story from previous assignments that you can tell us about?
I've been on many test trips in Europe and US: high speed driving on test tracks, high altitude driving in the Alps and extreme heat driving in Arizona. Driving cars in new environments have given me a hands-on experience and new perspectives of automotive climate challenges. It's an amazing work privilege to test cars in these environments all around the globe.
