Cecilia Dreijer

ÅF’s IT and Product Development section transforms clients’ ideas into actual products and systems. Thanks to the broad spectrum of skills that the business area’s more than 800 consultants possess in electronic and mechanical engineering, software, IT and project management, they can deliver everything from concepts and product prototypes to complete systems. Cecilia Dreijer is Key Account Manager for ÅF’s collaboration with Electrolux.

What assistance do you provide to Electrolux?

“Our design engineers assist in the process of developing new white goods and household appliances. We also provide project management expertise, industrial design services and help to improve the product development process. As Key Account Manager my main job is to coordinate our sales activities and to expand our collaboration with Electrolux.”

What is the most enjoyable aspect of your job?

“For me, the best feeling is matching the right assignment to the right consultant. That leads to solutions that are more effective, less expensive and result in a better outcome for the client. I want to give our consultants the kind of assignments that define them as heroes! I have lots of highly competent and thoroughly likeable colleagues. And that makes going to work every day a genuine pleasure!”

What has made ÅF such a leading name in technology?

“There’s such a strong desire within the company to share the knowledge you have with your colleagues. But ÅF also creates the structures that are needed to make it easier for co-workers to learn from one another’s experiences. Take our competence groups, for example, where everyone who works within the same specialist area can air their problems and share advice.”

What attracted you to ÅF?

“After many years in the telecommunications industry I wanted a change – and if it’s variety you’re looking for, then a consulting company is the perfect place to find it. The company’s values were also important. ÅF is very keen to treat its employees well and always strives to do the very best it can for clients. The company’s commitment to sustainability and investments in green technology also show that ÅF is serious about taking its share of responsibility for the environment.”

How has ÅF contributed to your development?

“I started out as a consulting managing at ÅF before later moving into a more sales-orientated role. Every day I make the acquaintance of nice, new people and help them to solve their problems. I’ve never really considered myself as a salesperson before but – I must say – this is the most enjoyable job I’ve ever had!”
