ÅF's ambition is to safeguard successful, long-term, sustainable development both for us and our clients.

Cornerstones for empowering this ambition are our policies that serve as introductions to the compliance levels for quality, environment, health and safety - levels that are in line with all relevant legislation, our own and our client’s requirements and expectations. To facilitate policy empowered operations, ÅF has implemented a management system focusing on quality, environmental, and occupational management.

Quality Management

Your requirements and quality criteria is our problem to solve, and through a systematic approach we manage to do so. We continually develop the skills and expertise of our employees so that we together with you can produce the best technical solution from a quality perspective. The constantly ongoing improvement of working procedures further ensures a suitable, adequate and efficient quality management.

Environmental Management

By being a leader in technical development, providing high level technical consultancy services, comes a great responsibility for safeguarding the environment. This is surely one of the greatest challenges of our time. By keeping track on our own ecological footprint, e.g. by monitoring our total CO2-emissions from providing technological consultancy services, we make sure that environmental awareness stays in the culture of our company. We make efficient and economical use of energy and natural resources in our day-to-day operations and we work to prevent negative environmental impact and we observe both the letter and the spirit of all relevant environmental legislation.

Health and Safety Management

For a professional human capital based company like ÅF, the biggest asset is our employees. Therefore a proactive systematic approach regarding health and safety is a given. It’s important to get an accurate picture of where actions need to be taken for a healthy and safe working environment at all times. To accomplish that, representatives within the company and employees cooperate to prepare risk assessments in every business unit and workplace. Employee satisfaction surveys are frequently monitoring working conditions to identify improvements needed for providing all employees with an appropriate working environment that enables undertaking ÅF’s services in a professional and safe manner.

ÅF has a number of policies and guidelines related to the sustainability work. The ÅF Code of Conduct, a compilation of rules and guidelines, forms the basis for our activities and for our relations with our clients, business partners, employees and other stakeholders. The ÅF Code of Conduct applies equally to both employees and the ÅF’s Board of Directors.

Code of Conduct

AFRY Code of Conduct describes AFRY's company values and what is considered ethical business practices. It outlines the general guidelines that form the basis for our activities and for our relations with our clients, business partners, employees and other stakeholders.

Sustainability policy

ÅF Sustainability policy lays down the principles on which the company’s commercial opportunities are to be assessed and evaluated before the business process commences. It is based on the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, which regards human rights, working conditions, environment and anti-corruption.

Whistleblowing policy

ÅF's Whistleblowing policy describes what to do if a co-worker has reasonable cause to suspect irregularities or wrongdoings in ÅF’s business activities, and if it is not possible to report the situation to the line organisation or if a report is ignored.

Policy for Equal Treatement

ÅF's policy for Equal Treatment consists of general guidelines explaining the basis for equal treatment at ÅF, regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, religion or sexual orientation.

Travel policy

The Travel policy gives recommendations and guidelines for how business trips for ÅF employees should be conducted, for example regarding mode of transport.

ÅF's Business operation policy explains how ÅF will ensure sustainable long-term development for both our clients and ourselves regarding environment, quality and business operations.

Partner Criteria policy

ÅF Partner Criteria policy explains how business partners, including suppliers, subcontractors, joint venture partners and agents always must be informed and made aware of the Group’s commitments and expectations in accordance with the ÅF Business Operations Policy and ÅF Code of conduct.
