Review of DPR, tendering support and detailed design for a 500 MW run-of-river scheme in India

Description of the project:
Teesta VI Hydro Electric Project (500 MW) is located on the Teesta River in southern Sikkim and is a run-of-river scheme.
The diversion structures comprises a dam 34.5 m high with four spillways & radial gates; 4 independent straight type intake structures; 4 desilting chambers; 2 headrace tunnels; 2 underground restricted orifice type surge shafts; 2 steel lined pressure shafts; an underground powerhouse cavern housing 4 vertical Francis turbine units, each with a capacity of 125 MW; and 2 tailrace tunnels to discharge the water back into the Teesta River.

Stage-I:
- Review of detailed project report;
- System optimization;
- Assistance in tender design & drawings for civil works;
- Basic design & engineering for EM & HM works;
- Preparation of tender documents;
- Evaluation of bids.
Stage-II:
Hydraulic mode studies for head works at LCH and detailed design & drawings including construction methodology for head works.
