Noise pollution assesments in mining community

Large-scale mining project has noise pollution requirements and ÅF keeps project viable.

A small town in northern Sweden has drawn up an ambitious plan to open three mines but the project means the company must  guarantee that any new mine operations be conducted as silently as possible and within existing noise thresholds.

ÅF has played a very important role in this work because it has been able to present technical solutions guaranteeing that noise levels will remain within government requirements.

Svappavaara, located in northern Sweden, is LK AB's newest and most expansive mining town. LK plans to  open three new mines in the years ahead, and they are called: Gruvberget, Mertainen and Leveäniemi.
