Schreder Omniflood

Industrial design and visualisations made in close cooperation with the customer Schréder. Visualisations were used as evaluation tools throughout the design process.

Co-deveolped by Schréder and ÅF-lighting, the Omniflood fixture is an example of close cooperation between designers, engineers, developers and visualizers. The fixture was deigned at ÅF lighting and engineered by Schréder - during the development process numerous photo-realistic visualisation were made, in order for everyone involved to have an idea of what the finished result could look like. This made it easier to bridge the gap between the ideal design and practical possibilities.

Visualisation became a vital branch of a multidisciplinary approach to assessing a product – just as weatherproofness and heat management was evaluated along the way, there was a continuous assessment of the design, through the use of photorealistic visualisations.
