Deicmannske Library – Oslo
A number of lighting simulations were done for Deichmannske library in Oslo to help decide what light solution best suited the complicated architectural space.
ÅF Lighting was commissioned to conduct the lighting design and an evaluation of daylight and artificial light in the new Deichmannsske Library in Oslo. We modelled fixtures and added physically correct lighting in the 3D model provided by the architect. We ran a series of lighting simulations in a physical render engine to provide a visual reference for decisions on both the day-time appearance of the fixtures, and the night-time effects of the light.
