Nyborg company provides cleaner air on the roads

Amminex is a fast-growing Danish clean-tech company in the global automotive industry. The catalytic convertor in their ammonia storage and delivery system (ASDS) enables the effective reduction of NOx emissions from diesel vehicles.

Ventilation system

ÅF has collaborated with Euro-Vent to supply and install a new ventilation system providing process, space and emergency ventilation at Amminex's new production facility. Euro-Vent was responsible for the ventilation systems and ducts, while ÅF supplied the automation and ammonia monitoring system. Production includes ammonia and salts which are partly embedded in the process. The process ventilation is therefore constructed with bag filters to filter out salts and an air scrubber to neutralise the ammonia.

There are a total of four ventilation systems covering different areas of the factory, plus an emergency ventilation system which starts up if the concentration of ammonia fumes in the premises becomes too great. If this happens, the supply transformer disconnects and stops the entire production line so the problem can be resolved and the plant can be restarted.
