ÅF Lighting nominated for the Danish Lighting Award

The Underground Passage in Farum is among the final five projects competing for the Danish Lighting Award 2017!

Group manager, Franziska Holmsted, and her design team at ÅF Lighting in Copenhagen created a lighting design which gives the tunnel a distinct nighttime identity. The lighting is designed with special attention to create a visual experience and an increased sense of security for passers-by and residents.

- We are very excited and pleased about the nomination, as it recognizes a small, yet important, public space which is frequently used by many people. The project is a great example of how a dull and faceless tunnel can be transformed into an eye-catching space by the means of light. Furthermore, I think it expresses the strength of our multidisciplinary teamwork which combines an original design idea and professional engineering, says Franziska.

The winner of the Danish Lighting Award will be announced on January 25th 2018 during a festive event in Copenhagen.
