High security assignment to ÅF

ÅF signs contract with Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security.

The Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Safety has awarded ÅF the contracts for Norways’ new Police National Emergency Unit. ÅF will be responsible for project management, construction management and project support for both construction work and ICT. ÅF will also conduct procurement management and lead the relocation process on behalf of the Norwegian Police.

The Norwegian Government has decided that the Police National Emergency Unit will be located at Taraldrud in Ski municipality. The purpose of the unit is to effectively prevent, avert, manage and normalize extraordinary events and crises, and to create security for the population. The unit will provide fast, efficient and safe response in emergencies. The unit consolidates the emergency squad, helicopter service, bomb group and crisis and negotiation service.

Project start-up for ÅF is August 15th. The project is due to be completed by December 31st 2020. The total cost scheme is estimated at 2,500 MNOK.
