A customer in the food industry asked ÅF for help to identify environmental improvement areas for one of their equipment's. To meet the customers request ÅF performed an Eco Screening.
An Eco Screening is a situation analysis of a product from an environmental perspective. ÅF carried out the eco screening by data collection and interviews with employees linked to the product.
The data were analyzed using 10 Golden rules in EcoDesign, to get a rash on the environmental status of the product. Workshops were conducted, one with respect to product development methodology The value model.
The result was shown in a report and oral presentation including the environmental status indication of the product as well as different action points. They got help to identify improvement areas and lower priority areas.
The assignment resulted in time and cost saving for the customer as well as improvement suggestions.
