German Design Award 2019
LANG by ÅF Lighting wins prestigious design award
We are proud to announce that the post top luminaire Lang, designed by ÅF Lighting for the Italian luminaire manufacturer Neri, won the German Design Award 2019 in the category lighting.
We are honored by this recognition as the German Design Award is among the most coveted awards on the global design scene and known for rewarding projects that truly represent pioneering contributions to the international design landscape.
“The cooperation with Neri on the Lang design has been very open and mutually respectful, leading to an innovative and beautiful design within an unusually short timeframe. I am excited and grateful to have it recognized by the German Design Council”, says Rune Brandt Hermannsson, who was responsible for the 3D design and modelling of Lang.
Head of Design for the Lang project, Christian Klinge, adds “For us this is not only a great achievement, but also an important acknowledgment of our collaboration with Neri, whom we look forward to continue working with.”
The award ceremony took place during the Ambiente fair in Frankfurt on February 8th 2019, and Section Manager, Kenneth Munck received the award on behalf of the team.
