Welcome to ÅF's IT consultant, offering services in product development and high-tech IT. Assignments include both one-off projects and full-service solutions for everything from idea and testing to implementation and product care. Systems accounts for around 10% of ÅF Group sales.
Systems has some 400 employees in 13 offices in southern and central Sweden. The client base and the market consist mainly of Swedish industry in Sweden and abroad. We expect to be increasingly active abroad as ÅF increases its presence in Eastern Europe. Our main strenghts are in medical technology, electronics, telecoms, telematics, defence, pharmaceuticals, engineering, nuclear power, shipping and the automotive industry.
Business areas include embedded systems, mechanical engineering and IT solutions. Embedded systems projects often span the whole chain from idea to production. Other assignments are performed in close liaison with our client's development departments and vary from limited assistance with highly specific issues to full-service undertakings. Some clients use ÅF as a one-stop shop for all their outsourcing.
Recent projects include business support systems, mammography equipment, mobile phones, mobile logistics and transport monitoring systems for trucks, night-vision systems for cars, separators, handheld computer design, positioning systems for vessels, indoor/outdoor mobile base stations, telematics solutions and pacemakers.
