The Board of AB Ångpanneföreningen has appointed Jonas Wiström as the new Group Manager and Managing Director of the company. Wiström will take up his appointment this autumn.
Jonas Wiström is currently the Group Manager for Prevas AB, which is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange O list.

Chairman of the Board, Carl-Erik Nyquist, says that with Jonas Wiström at the helm the ÅF Group has every likelihood of continuing its successful development and increasing its share of the market in Scandinavia and Europe.

Today, the ÅF Group is among the 20 largest technical consultancy firms in Europe. It aims to continue advancing in the next few years, says Nyquist.

“With the competence, energy and communicative skills of Jonas Wiström coupled with the wide knowledge base and strong brand of the ÅF Group, the Board is convinced that the company’s continued development will be very positive for customers, shareholders and co-workers,” says Nyquist.

Wiström, who is 42 years old, has a degree in civil engineering from KTH, and during his career he has previously been Managing Director and North European Manager for Silicon Graphics and the Swedish Manager for SUN Microsystems. As well as his board experience at Prevas, he has been a board member for Svenska IT-företagen (The Association of the Swedish IT & Telecom Industry) and Svenskt Näringsliv (The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise).
