The ÅF Group’s commercial education unit has signed an agreement with Springfield College in Massachusetts, USA, to offer a programme of studies in Organisation and Leadership. After examination successful candidates will ultimately be awarded a US Master of Science Degree.

“The masters degree we offer our clients is accredited by the American authorities and therefore provides successful participants with an internationally recognised qualification,” explains Stig Olsson, manager for the subsidiary within the ÅF Group that will be responsible for the course. “This is essential if we are to be truly competitive at the top end of the education market, where the ÅF Group is beginning to acquire an increasingly large slice of the cake.”

Springfield College is rated as one of the top ten medium-sized high schools in the USA and belongs to the New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission on Institutions of Higher Education, NEASC/CIHE, which includes both Harvard and Yale.

The masters programme will be taught in English by highly qualified professors from Springfield College, but the main focus will be the participants’ own experiences and observations. The course, which consists of a number of weeks’ intensive studies in both Sweden and the USA, extends over three semesters and provides participants with enhanced skills, new knowledge, a valuable network of contacts and international experience in addition to personal development. Students will be examined in the USA. Candidates are required to have a first degree and some experience of working life, and will be able to renew, revitalise and develop their personal, academic and professional skills within the framework of both local and international networks with all the new perspectives that this involves.
