ÅF-Group enters the Danish consulting market

The ÅF-Group has acquired 25% of the Danish consulting firm of Hansen & Henneberg, founded in 1957, from the company’s present three owners who will retain leading positions within the company. The ÅF-Group holds an option to acquire another 24% of the company in 2001.

Hansen & Henneberg has almost 60 employees in its Copenhagen office. It is one of Denmark’s leading consultancies in the fields of electrotechnology, lighting systems, traffic control and information technology. The ÅF-Group has 700 employees in the field of electrical engineering and instrumentation, and Hansen & Henneberg’s expertise will complement and strengthen the Group’s technology operations.

Among other things, Hansen & Henneberg has taken part in the design of electrical supply and instrumentation for the Great Belt and Öresund Bridges, Copenhagen Airport and the Royal Library in Copenhagen.

The ÅF-Group today has 250 technical consultants in the southern Swedish province of Skåne. With the acquisition of shares in Hansen & Henneberg, the Group has become established in the Öresund Region with over 300 consultants.
