Via the largest of its subsidiaries, the ÅF Group has acquired the consulting company Elcontrol AB in Söderköping, Sweden. Elcontrol AB has around a dozen employees and works mostly with clients in the process and manufacturing industries.

The ÅF Group’s Norrköping-based business area manager Bengt-Åke Brunberg, who is responsible for the new acquisition, is keen to point out Elcontrol’s specialist skills in fully automated solutions for industrial applications.

“As I see it,” Mr Brunberg says, “this acquisition is fully in line with the ÅF Group’s strategy of growing and developing its strengths within the field of industrial IT.”

Elcontrol’s Managing Director, Stefan Jansson comments, “We will continue to work with our established clients, but now with all the strength, skills and resources of the ÅF Group behind us.”

Elcontrol has specialist competence in and experience of work in high-tension power plant projects, electrical construction projects, process control and control engineering as well as main control systems, databases and other areas.
