ÅF has been contracted by TeliaSonera Sweden to take technical responsibility for Skanova's* "joint-financed base-station sharing" service.
TeliaSonera will offer other telecom operators the opportunity via a joint financing arrangement to install equipment for their own broadband traffic in TeliaSonera's existing telecom stations/facilities in Sweden. This will involve the adaptation and conversion of a large number of TeliaSonera telecom stations/facilities.
ÅF won the role as technical project leader thanks to its status as an independent technical consulting company with extensive experience and skills within the field of telecommunications.
*Skanova is TeliaSonera's brand for wholesale network services for fixed telephony in Sweden
