ÅF continues to grow in Eastern Europe – acquires technical consulting company in Estonia

ÅF, via its ÅF-Benima Division, has acquired the Estonian technical consulting company Automaatika, which has just over 20 employees. As a well-established company offering consulting services for automation solutions for industrial processes, Automaatika's business is very similar to ÅF-Benima's operations.

Automaatika has offices in Tallinn and Narva. The majority of the company's clients are active in the food and energy industries. Among the largest of the 50 or so clients on the books in 2005 were Valio and Metso Automation. Half of the company's assignments were carried out in Estonia itself and half in neighbouring countries, including Latvia and Russia.

The acquisition of Automaatika increases the total number of ÅF employees in Estonia to around 40. The Process Division currently have almost 20 employees in Tallinn. The ambition is to bring both ÅF units under the same roof during 2007.
