ÅF has acquired a contract for supervision of construction of a new flue gas desulphurisation plant at Maritsa East 2 power plant in Bulgaria.
 
The new plant will reduce SO2 emissions in accordance with Bulgarian and European requirements. Also dust emissions will be reduced to the permitted level.
 
ÅF is the leader of the consortium in which Fichtner (Germany), Energy Institute (Bulgaria) and Complect Consult (Bulgaria) are members. The project is financed by the ISPA programme of the European Commission.
 
The new contract consists of conceptual analysis and design, preparation of turnkey contract documents, construction supervision and workshop QA/QC, site management, commissioning and performance test management. The client will also be supported during defect notification period.
 
The contract value is 3,8 M€ out of which 2 M€ is ÅF's share.
