ÅF takes over Ericsson Design Centre in Lysekil

The ÅF Group is to take over operations at the Ericsson Design Centre in Lysekil on the Swedish west coast. The 21 employees there work primarily with radio-related systems development and software development for WCDMA (3G) and GSM technologies.

The aim is to consolidate ÅF's position as a leading name for technical consulting services in the fields of radio and radio-related systems. The acquisition will also provide ÅF with key competencies to undertake a greater number of assignments across a broader spectrum of this specialist area. At the same time, it helps to cement the already strong relationship the Group enjoys with its client, Ericsson

"This is a further step in our strategic focus on embedded systems and radio development," says Johan Olsson, Divisional Manager for ÅF Systems.

ÅF Systems has already successfully taken over other high-tech operations from companies such as Siemens.

ÅF Systems is one of Sweden's leading telecom consulting companies with proven expertise in hardware, software and mechanical engineering. The company is committed to recruiting the best co-workers and developing the market's finest team of consultants.
