The ÅF Group has been commissioned by Akademiska Hus, the state-owned property group responsible for university and college environments in Sweden, to plan and design the technical installations for the planned new Royal College of Music in Stockholm. The new building at the junction of Valhallavägen and Lidingövägen will be approximately 16,000 square metres in size and is scheduled to be ready for occupation in 2009.
Project planning for new Concert Hall and Congress Centre in Uppsala
The ÅF Group has been commissioned to work with project planning for the technical installations in "The House of Music", the new combined concert hall and congress centre in Uppsala, Sweden. Project planning has already commenced and will be completed during 2005. The new building itself is due to be inaugurated in the spring of 2007.
"One of the reasons why the ÅF Group has been entrusted with carrying out these projects is our good references. Buildings like these make huge demands on technical systems and functions, but the ÅF Group has accumulated a great deal of experience of this type of assignment over the years," says Björn Qvist, Senior Vice President for ÅF Installations.
