The ÅF Group has set up a new international organisation with the aim of increasing considerably its competitive strength within the forest industry. Group President and CEO Jonas Wiström will be the acting divisional manager until such time as a new division manager is appointed, which will probably be after summer.

 

The new organisation will be formed in two international business lines, namely Consulting & Engineering, with almost 700 employees world-wide. The Division will operate out of Finland, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Czech Republic and South Africa.

Common disciplines in the areas of engineering, automation and maintenance will be grouped in the Engineering business line, while those concerning process and strategy will be grouped in the Consulting business line.

 

Timo Juvonen will lead the Engineering business line, while Consulting will be lead by Jan-Erik Eriksson. Teppo Koski has been appointed VP of Marketing and Magnus Titus VP of Business Development.

 

The aim of creating the new structure is to become a stronger partner in larger international projects, without losing the unique proximity to customers that the ÅF Group's extensive network of offices offers.

 

As divisional manager Mats Junghem has left the ÅF Group, Jonas Wiström will take up the role of acting divisional manager. A new divisional manager will be appointed after the summer.
