The ÅF Group has agreed terms for the sale of one of its subsidiaries, the educational company ÅF-SIFU, to the Danish Technological Institute (Teknologisk Institut), which is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Danish Technological Institute will acquire all of the ÅF Group's shares in ÅF-SIFU, which represents a 75 percent stake in the company.
 

The sale is a further step in the ÅF Group's strategy towards concentrating operations to focus more exclusively on technical consulting. In the Group's opinion, the Danish Technological Institute is a sound and suitable purchaser, and one that will be able to continue to develop the operations of ÅF-SIFU.

ÅF-SIFU has some 50 employees and reported sales of around SEK 75 million in 2002. The company's clients come both from the public sector and from private industry. ÅF-SIFU currently trains over 10,000 people a year in some 400 different subjects, both theoretical and vocational.
