The ÅF Group has acquired 60 percent of the outstanding shares in the Swedish company, Göteborg Energi International AB (a subsidiary of Göteborg Energi), with an option to purchase the remainder of the shares in three years' time.

 

Göteborg Energi International, which was established in 1994, is an energy consulting business with an international focus and special expertise within the area of district heating. Important clients include the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and the World Bank.

 

Göteborg Energi International's invoiced sales for the current year are anticipated to be slightly in excess of SEK 10 million.

 

This acquisition enables the ÅF Group's Energy & Environment Division and its 350 employees to consolidate the division's position on the consulting market for the energy sector, both in Sweden and in the international arena.
