CE-Declaration

Products referred to in the Machinery Directive must carry a CE-mark!
ISO/IEC 17025

Products covered by the Machinery Directive 89/392/EEC and associated documents issued by the Council of the European Communities must be provided vith a CE-mark and a CE-declaration on factors important for safety and health, in order to be allowed on the European market. Among these factors are noise and vibration.

The CE-mark implies that the best available technology is used to bring down noise and vibration levels. The noise and vibration emission shall be declared in manuals and sales literature. When exceeding stated limit values, the actual noise or vibration figure shall be given. If not, the declaration shall state that the limit values are not exceeded.

Limit values are for noise:

70 dB(A) equivalent continuous A-weighted sound pressure level at workstations.

130 dB peak C-weighted instantaneous sound pressure level at workstations.

When the equivalent continuous A-weighted sound pressure level at workstations exceeds 85 dB(A), the sound power level shall be declared in addition.

For vibrations transmitted by hand-held and hand-guided machinery:

2,5 m/s2 weighted root mean square acceleration.

For weighted whole-body vibration:

An acceleration limit of 0,5 m/s2 is stated.

Values shall be measured and declared using an appropriate test code

INGEMANSSON TECHNOLOGY AB holds accreditation to a large number of measurement standards relevant to the declaration of noise and vibration data. By participation in national, European and international standardisation committees, we have access to the latest information on present and upcoming standards. See methods for information.

The benefits of a proper documentation

  • CE-declared products are allowed on the market in any country within EU
  • In case of questioning declared emission values, the holder of an accredited report has a strong support in the reliability of the values. In a conflict situation, legal consequenses may follow declarations based on guesswork
  • The buyer of a product which is not declared to fulfil health and safety requirements will not be allowed to use the product
  • On request, the manufacturer (or import agency) must be able to show documentation which verifies that the machine fulfils the requirements in the Machinery Directive. An important part of the documentation is the declaration of noise and vibration emission values.

INGEMANSSON TECHNOLOGY AB has all the competence, personnel and equipment required to supply our clients with correct, quality-assured measurements.
