Lambertsson Sverige AB is part of the PEAB Group and one of Sweden's largest plant hire companies. It has to be able to supply and assemble plant quickly for clients in the construction sector. ÅF, with many years' experience of inspection in the construction industry, regularly checks Lambertsson's hoists and cranes. It also carries out non-destructive test on certain sections of the cranes to detect any cracks or fractures due to fatigue or high loads. This provides a good picture of the state of health of the plant, so that Lambertsson can assess and plan the need for maintenance and repairs. This contract is a good example of ÅF's approach: systematic inspections are an important preventive measure which - coupled with commitment, innovation and flexibility - ensure that the client's plant causes no harm either to people or property.
