The Swedish bakery company Konsumbagarn in Kristianstad needed to modernise its hardware, improve production flow, and facilitate production planning. The ÅF Group was commissioned to develop a brand new system to be integrated with the business system to make working processes more efficient.
The result was an automated PC-based system with monitoring capabilities, the installation of new facilities to monitor dough temperatures, and new floor scales for checking the doses from the pumps which can now deliver up to five raw ingredients simultaneously. Installation, commissioning and acceptance testing were completed in just 16 hours over a weekend. Production was back in full swing the very next day.
