The ÅF Group has established an important bridgehead in the Balkans. In 2004 the Infrastructure Division began to work with local partners in Albania as a first step into the region.

 

Two projects have resulted from this work to date. The first, commissioned by SweRoad and the World Bank, is a review of safety in the Albanian road network and the organisation responsible for this. The second is a pilot study for a toll-financed motorway in Albania, where the ÅF Group is represented as a subcontractor to the local consulting firm Infra Transproject.
