PetroLine® – a concept for intelligent solutions in the chemical and petroleum industries
PetroLine® is ÅF's concept för intelligent production in the chemical and petroleum industries
PetroLine OMM, Oil Movement Management, reduces the risk of errors related to the movement of oil within refineries. Errors that can otherwise be very expensive, due to deterioration of quality and production losses.
OMM supervises all oil movements, and sends alarms to the operator if there are changes in level in tanks that that have not been defined by pumping orders. OMM also helps operators to find good pumping routes and to perform pump time calculations for better planning.
PetroLine Integration is a system to maintain a consistent and reliable source of information – without information islands or conflicting data. This information is used to improve forecasts and plans, and means a simplified follow-up to compare planning with outcomes. This is a unique integration of planning for refineries and distribution with the real-time system used in production. In short, an ”enterprise application integration” (EAI) that reduces bottlenecks in the flow of information.
PetroLine QIS means quality assurance of process-related information. QIS increases the reliability of information and now provides the refinery with the correct basis for decisions and reports. By comparing actual values with predictions and planned values, the operators, planners, engineers and management can quickly spot deviations and/or instrument errors in the process. The system also includes functions for reconciling values from the same ”tag” and balanced reconciliation (mass balance, energy balance, etc.)
PetroLine Supervision and Reporting supervises production data, creates histories of measured data and handles reporting and long-term storage. A number of system functions can be carried out, based on production data, such as source tests, gas export requests, gas and oil export reports, pipeline reports, source status and flow allocations, gas and water supplies, consumption of chemicals and shutdown reports.
