ÅF Group appoints new Vice Presidents for Pulp & Paper and Installations Divisions
Per Göransson has been appointed Senior Vice President for the ÅF Group's Pulp & Paper Division, which currently employs almost 700 people in Sweden, Finland, Germany, France, Spain and South Africa. He will take up his new position within the Group on 1 October.
Jonas Wiström, President and CEO of the ÅF Group says, "As a leader Per has already proved that he possesses an analytical mind. He is a strategic thinker with a firm focus on results. I am absolutely convinced that he is the right person to head this core area of the Group's operations, and one in which we see a significant potential for expansion over the coming years." Per Göransson's appointment enables Jonas Wiström to relinquish his role as acting senior Vice President for Pulp & Paper.
Per Göransson has served as Senior Vice President for the ÅF Group's Installations Division since 2002. Prior to that he had worked as managing director of an ÅF subsidiary since 1990. Göransson is 51 years old and a graduate engineer from the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden.
Björn Qvist has been appointed to replace him as the new Senior Vice President for Installations, which employs approximately 500 people in Sweden and Norway. He will take up his new position on 1 October. Björn Qvist (47 years of age and also a graduate engineer from the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden) has been one of the division's Regional Managers since 2002.
"Björn has a great deal of experience from the construction and real estate industries. He is also an established figure within the ÅF Group's Installations Division, where he has successfully headed and developed the relatively large East Region", says Jonas Wiström.
