The Nytt Østfoldsykehus project had on behalf of the South-Eastern Norwegian Health Authority (Helse Sør-Øst RHF) the full responsibility for planning, building and preparing for the operation of the new hospital in Østfold.

The total budget was 5.592 Billion NOK, the gross area was 85.500 m2, and the hospital was built with 578 beds and 9 surgery rooms. The new hospital replaces the six formerly operative hospitals in Østfold, and will serve approx. 300.000 residents. The construction started 05.09.2011. The hospital started full clinical operation 30.11.2015.

One of the contracts related to the construction of Nytt Østfoldsykehus was «ICT Infrastructure». The project was composed of several suppliers in order to deliver a complete infrastructure. The infrastructure included implementation of redundant data rooms and communication rooms, including servers, network and storage, security platform, IP telephony, wireless data infrastructure, work stations, identity management, active directory, patient terminals, support processes and platforms. The project was responsible for the coordination of the ICT interface towards all the stakeholders and technical systems in the hospital.

Our employees were involved in the project through several roles, ranging from Project Manager for the ICT Infrastructure contract, IT architects, and Project Managers for the subprojects.
