Design review, optimization, supervision and quality assurance for a 1’398 MW PSP project in Germany
Description of project:
The Atdorf project in Germany is a pumped storage scheme with 6 x 233 MW asynchronous pump turbines. The head range is between 576 m and 661 m. The upper and lower reservoirs will be new artificial ones with capacities of 9 Mio m³ each; the power station cavern is located under the upper reservoir; two upstream and one downstream waterway; down-stream tunnel is 8.5 km long; and a surge tank.
Review of the preliminary design; implementation of optimizations; support for the state approval process; preparation of specifications, site supervision and supervision for commissioning to follow; quality assurance.
