Stockholm New is a district consisting of climate-smart, flexible office buildings in Hammarby Sjöstad. Stage 1 includes two buildings, and ÅF has been commissioned to do the project engineering.
A new district, Stockholm New, is emerging in Hammarby Sjöstad. In Stockholm Seaside, companies will benefit from a unique location that has its own entrance to Hammarby quay – there are not many other offices in Stockholm which have a dock right outside their door. Stockholm 03 is an exciting building where the decor is inspired by the history of the location, and the building has a contemporary, minimalist and industrial feel. The building is designed to be flexibly adaptable to individual requirements, which also places demands on the technical engineering design of the building.
ÅF is responsible for designing the building's ventilation, heating and cooling and sanitation. ÅF is accountable for the energy calculations according to the regulations of the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning (BBR) and climate calculations. The building will also be LEED certified; ÅF is also responsible for the LEED energy calculations.
Ulrika Norberg, planning manager at Skanska Sweden AB, explains why they chose ÅF as a partner.
"The teams at ÅF are competent, responsive and good at communicating. In addition ÅF has many core competences and a wide base that we appreciate and value."
ÅF's role in the project contributes to the technical supply system, which is characterised by simplicity, energy efficiency, consistency and flexibility, and takes into account the changing use of the premises.
