Seminar: New GNSS signals

Welcome to the seminar "New GNSS signals - opportunities for new PNT applications and improved robustness"

Welcome to a seminar arranged by the Swedish Radio Navigation Board (RNN).

New GNSS signals create opportunities for improved robustness in current GNSS-based PNT applications (PNT = Positioning, Navigation, and Timing). The new signals also provide opportunities for developing new PNT applications based on GNSS. Some of the trends in the PNT area are robust timing, more accurate navigation for autonomous vehicles, and access to raw data in smart phones.

The seminar provides an introduction to how the new GNSS signals can create increased robustness in PNT applications, as well as summarizing the results of test measurements of the new GNSS signals. Furthermore, experiences from projects with autonomous vehicles are reported. It will also be explained how the availability of carrier data for the GNSS signals in smart phones leads to new standards and applications.

Registration for the seminar

The seminar is free of charge for member organizations in the Radio Navigation Board (RNN), for external participants the seminar fee is 800 SEK + VAT incl. breakfast, lunch and coffee.

Date: 29th of November
Time: 9:00 - 17:00.
