ÅF has considerable experience with planning and designing large and complex buildings. We conduct lighting calculations either individually or in collaboration with lighting suppliers.
Our employees have extensive experience with AV-systems and IT from numerous buildings.
Control systems
Automation and control systems are often prerequisites for keeping track of energy consumption and expenditures. Consequently, the choice of control system is vital for the optimization of environmental- and economic operations. ÅF has substantial competence within control systems, both with regards to traditional control functions, central control systems as well as process control. Furthermore, ÅF has expertise on heating calculations and energy- and electrical power calculations.
Diesel generators for backup / emergency power as well as UPS- installations are also one of ÅFs special fields. We have designed large unit installations with advanced systems for recycling of radiation heating, exhaust heating etc.
Security installations principally consist of access control, alarm installations and internal television monitoring. ÅF provides the integration of these systems, which thereby increases security through the use of modern technology.
Lift facility
Elevators, escalators, hoisting cranes etc. are constructed by elevator manufacturers. However, ÅF also designs these kinds of systems together with architects and the contractor for optimal adapted functions and capacities. Capacity calculations are generally carried out together with the elevator manufacturers.
Facility administration-, management- and maintenance system
Since most of the technical installations are becoming comprehensive and complex, the need for a simple and proven system for administration is increasing. These systems can be highly diverse, yet ÅF has good experience of customizing it according to the contractor`s operating systems. The documentation is mainly a facility for optimal operations, including efficient inspections, control, maintenance and repair of the technical installations at the lowest possible cost.
