Description of project
Northwest Power Plant is a modern 2 x 450 MW combined circuit power plant with two identical units using natural gas and diesel oil as fuels. The first unit went into commercial operation in 2001, the second one in 2006. The Russian main contractor was Technopromexport (TPE).

ÅF was the leader of Consortium P.S.I. together with Polar and Siemens; responsible for design; procurement; manufacturing; delivery; erection; commissioning and training of the main plant building; automation systems and gas turbines.
