Powering up battery production for electric vehicles

Developing vehicles that are more energy efficient and can run on renewable energy is a top priority today. But, the availability of suitable batteries that are safe and perform well is holding back the development of battery-run electric vehicles. So, Alelion Batteries AB commissioned ÅF to develop its battery-electronics solutions for high-volume production.

Alelion Batteries AB has seen a growth in demand for electric vehicles and, therefore, lithium batteries. So, it commissioned ÅF to develop its Battery Management System electronic boards (sBMS slave board and mBMS master board), in order to speed up time-to-market and meet the challenging timetable for integration into electric vehicles.
