The city of Aalborg’s medieval centre has been linked to the adjacent fjord with the help of a mix of functional and scenographic lighting. This differentiates the individual spaces while unifying the entire area as a single visual entity. As a result, the old industrial area has become a bustling waterfront boulevard, where aesthetic and interactive lighting solutions are complemented by generous functional lighting to create a diversity of expressions that has made the waterfront one of the city’s attractions.
