ÅF was awarded an EBRD (European Bank of Reconstruction and Development) contract in Jordan. ÅF will act as Lender's Supervisor for an Abdali District Heating and Cooling project.

The total project cost is estimated at USD 106 million. The EBRD loan is expected to be used to partly finance the USD 42 million EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) contract for building the plant and procuring the equipment. ÅF’s role as Lender’s Supervisor is to monitor the project until completion within the next two years.

This project scope includes cooling and heating services to the Abdali Urban Regeneration Development (AUR) which is currently under construction in central Amman. The AUR is developed to provide a long-term, high standard business, tourism, residential and commercial infrastructure that aims to transform Amman into a new business hub in the region.

The project entails the construction of a new permanent plant with total 30,000 tonnes of cooling output and approximately 50,000 kW of heating output.
