ÅF has acquired the consulting operations of the City of Gothenburg's highways
and traffic management department, Göteborgs Gatuaktiebolag. This municipal
company has approximately 100 employees engaged in consulting activities
relating to investigations, analyses and the project engineering and project
management of existing and new infrastructure investments in the Gothenburg
region. The market for these kinds of consulting services is strong, with
decisions already made to implement a number of major infrastructure projects in
and around Gothenburg with an investment horizon of more than ten years. The
purchase price is SEK 26 million (approx. EUR 2.7 million). Business will be
consolidated into the results of the ÅF Group with effect from 1 September.

This acquisition underlines ÅF's resolve to expand even further within the
sphere of Infrastructure Planning. With a total of some 450 consultants after
the acquisition, ÅF is now one of Sweden's leading names in this field. The
acquisition also strengthens ÅF's presence in the Gothenburg region, where the
company will now have approximately 500 consultants.
