ÅF inaugurates two offices in China

The Making Future strategy is spread to China

ÅF establishes two new offices in China, in Shanghai and Chengdu. Two opening ceremonies were held. Guests from the Swedish Consulate and Business Sweden attended the events, as well as clients and partners.

During the evenings, the management presented ÅF’s vision and commitment for the business in China. “Our new office in Shanghai as well as in Chengdu is an important step in our strategy to expand our business in China”, says Tomas Camén, CEO and Country Manager for ÅF in China.

The expansion in China is part in executing ÅF’s Making Future strategy. ÅF has been present in China since 2012 with Automotive R&D services for Geely, Chery and other Chinese car manufacturers. For three years, ÅF has been a strategic partner for NIO, a leading brand among the new start-up electrical car companies competing with Tesla in the Chinese market.

China keeps developing fast within many of ÅF’s strategic areas. We intend to move our positions in China to make more and larger business with our global customers, and, of course, with new Chinese customers and partners”, says Jonas Larsson, EVP and Head of Business Development.

ÅF’s Development Center in Chengdu is focused on system/product design, development and maintenance. Now we introduce competence areas that cover software based systems (Embedded and IT). The development center serves both local and global market and is a very important part in our service offerings within product development, industrialization and maintenance.

With growing business in China, ÅF is now expanding to advanced manufacturing, process industry and other business areas. With brave and devoted team players, ÅF is making future in China.
