The Recruitment Process

You can become one of many new co-workers that join ÅF every year. To make sure that the job is right for you and that you are the right person for the job, a thorough and systematic approach to the entire recruitment process has been adopted.

The process

1. Specification of requirements

Whenever there is a vacancy to be filled, the recruiting manager produces a specification of requirements detailing the skills and experience that candidates need to have. Once that has been done, a job advertisement is formulated.

2. Advertising

Details of current vacancies can be found here on the website. Many job ads are also published in various daily newspapers and specialist magazines, and of course on our company page on Linkedin

3. Selection

We look at your and all other applications and make an initial assessment of each candidate’s suitability. If your application is among the top suitable ones, you get an invite to an interview.

4. Interviews and tests

If things go well, you will probably be invited to two or three interviews. The aim of these job interviews is to provide us with an objective picture as possible of your competence, skills and personality. In certain recruitment situations you might also need to do personality tests and professional skills test as part of the selection process.

5. References

Our basic principle is to take two or three references, including one from someone in a managerial position.

6. Offer of employment

Once you get to the final selection, we commence salary and contract negotiations. When agreement has been reached, a contract of employment is drawn up – either a contract of permanent employment or probationary employment, depending on the position.

7. Feedback to other candidates

As soon as the recruitment process has been completed – a process that can take anything from three weeks up to several months – a letter or an email is sent to all the other applicants to thank them for their interest.
