Okija 330kV transmission line and associated substation project

Studies for expansion of the Nigerian High Voltage Grid by constructing the following additional transmission lines and substations

Description of project: 

  • 330 kV double-circuit transmission line from Okija power plant to Nnewi substation 330/132/33kV
  • 330 kV double-circuit transmission line from Okija power plant to Onitsha substation 330/132/33kV
  • Extension 330/132/33 kV S/S Nnewi, 2x330/132 kV transformer 150 MVA, 2x 132/33 kV transformer 60 MVA
  • Extension 330/132/33 kV S/S Onitsha

ÅF's services: 

  • Feasibility Studies for the Nigerian Grid and power evacuation.
  • Technical validation of the pre-feasibility studies and the selected line routes
  • Network studies ( load flow, short circuit etc)
  • Site visit to the proposed substations, ascertaining the locations of the S/S
  • Detailed technical studies of the line routes
  • Design of towers and substations, development of technical specifications
  • Costing of the project / Standard bidding documents
  • Economic and financial analysis; economic and financial viability assessment of the project including tariffs
  • Investigation of associated digital communication facilities
