115 and 20 kV Transmission and Distribution Project
Supply electricity to selected areas of northern Lao PDR by extending the country’s northern power grid
Description of project:
The project consists of the following main components:
- 164 km of 115 kV transmission line from Nam Leuk to Phonsavan, extension of Nam Leuk HP Station Switchyard, 115/22 kV substation at Phonsavan, shieldwire distribution for villages along the transmission line and conventional distribution in Phonsavan and Muang Cha towns and the surrounding areas
- 76 km of 115 kV transmission line from Xieng Ngeung to Xayabury, 115 kV-T-off at Xieng Ngeun, 115/22 kV substation at Xayabury, shieldwire distribution for villages along the transmission lin,and conventional distribution in Xayabury town and surrounding areas
- 45.6 km of 22 kV transmission line from Thalat substation to Ban Don, shieldwire distribution for villages along the transmission line, 115 kV/22 kV substation in Ban Don and conventional distribution in Muang Feuang district;
- 54,4 km of 115 kV transmission line from Ban Don to Non Hai, shieldwire distribution for villages along the transmission line, 115/22 kV substation in Non Hai and conventional distribution for Non Hai area, villages from Non Hai to Xanakham, Xanakham town, and villages from Xanakham to Muangkhi;
About 130 km of 22 kV distribution lines, 4990 kVA installed distribution transformer substations capacity and about 5100 low voltage connections in Vientiane Plain.
